Jonathan Earl Bowser

Jonathon describes his unique figurative-landscape paintings as "Mythic Naturalism." These reverential images are an exploration of the Divinity of Beauty, and the Archetypes of Mythology - arcane motifs and symbols which are found in spiritual pictures and stories in every part of the world, in every time in history. Of his work he says:

"Mythology (spiritual belief and psychological preparation for life) is the essential, timelessly enduring soul of our hyper-dynamic world. There are universal themes found in the poetic revelation of the sacred and sublime, common threads which weave together the spiritual traditions of all peoples. The ineffable prevalence of these exactly analogous patterns - in nature and natural laws, in mathematics and geometry, in human physiology and behavior, and in our ancient Holy Books - represents a mysterious, Eternal Knowledge. Hidden deep within all our many spiritual faiths is one grand and immutable biography of humanity: a noumenal book of the origins and destiny of Life and Consciousness in the cosmos..."
