Sacred Sexuality

I dedicate this page to a woman who has been my inspiration. She has loved and lived to teach us how to be a Goddess, full of passion in a quest for justice and peace.

To my dear friend, Isabel Allende, author of many books, ----Paula, The House of the Spirits and many others. Most recently, she wrote Aphrodite, which I will always treasure with her dedication, ---"To Griselda, in defense of women's sexuality."

I HAD A DREAM.... in my dream, I was standing at the entrance of a cave, I knew that it was very important for me to memorize, a symbol that was painted on the side of the cave.

I stood there with the realization that this was a Sacred Symbol for me to duplicate in some form.

When I woke up, the memory was still very clear, somehow, as I painted my dream it came to me, that it meant CREATIVE FEMALE POWER, womb, origin, and source, and the sound of OM, the name of God.

At this time I would like to elaborate on the Creative Feminine Power, what I have learned from my teachers and perhaps I would inspire someone to consider how Sacred Symbols may influence our everyday life.

The pointing triangle is one of the most commonly used symbols to represent Femininity, perhaps unrecognized by most but the triangle has a long history of associations with female energy in Mandalas, carvings and other ornamental pieces dedicated to various Goddesses.

The triangle has been considered a sacred and archetypal symbol of the Divine. In ancient times, the shrines made to the female deity were found everywhere, at sacred springs and wells where people would come to drink from its healing waters, in ancient grove or trees and near caves.

When I analyzed my dream, I UNDERSTOOD that I am standing at the gate of my own creativity, and that only by paying close attention to the sacredness of that which inspires me to paint, I become more respectful of the gifts I am given, and of the responsibility to explore deeper...by going into the cave of my own feminine power.

I had an other dream, a walking dream that I am exploring....I'ved imagined the possibility of joining with my sisters in the net, to create a place where we can visit each other, A SAFE SPACE, for sharing our experiences as women, mothers, wives, leaders, healers and lovers.

A SACRED CAVE where we can cultivate and explore many paths to healing sexuality, AN OPEN FORUM where we will honor each other in reverence for who we are...The Essence, The Source, The creative Spirit that lives as US.

The net has become a place where we stumble upon dozens of sexually explicit sites with every turn we take...I think there is a place and a time for everything under the sun, but I pray that we find ways to be more responsible for what it is published and how our children find it in the net, and hope this coming year, the last one in the century, brings much enlightenment to sexuality and ralationships in general.

IT IS ABOUT TIME! ----Women, we are powerful creators, beautiful spirits, angels of love and light, I pray we become more OPEN to discussing healthier ways to relate to each other and to men, healing the pain born out of ignorance and fear.

Someone else had a similar dream...

You will be teachers for each other. You will come together in circles and speak your truth to each other. The time has come for women to accept their spiritual responsibility for our planet.

Will you help us? I ask the assembled patriarchs. We are your brothers, they answer, and with that the entire room is flooded with an energy of indescribable kindness.

I am absolutely confident in this moment that they are our brothers. I feel their love without any question. They say then, "We have initiated you and we give you our wholehearted blessings. But we no longer know the way. Our ways do not work anymore. You women must find a new way."

Ode to Gaia

From the depths of my sacred cave I thank you Divine Mother for the magical rebirth of today in celebration of fertile creativity.

Your wisdom and strength are mine your life force my inspiration re-membering your embrace I am holding the vision of peace.

Wrapped in the cocoon or flesh I feel this body, my woman's shape I celebrate the rebirth of my soul, new age, by honoring myself.
